What Settings is for
Settings is where you configure everything that is not part of day-to-day content work: your site's Knowledge and connectors shortcuts, your workspace's billing and team, and your personal account preferences. Settings is organized in three levels.
What you can do
- Jump to any settings section directly from the sidebar or the user menu.
- Manage project-level configuration for the site you currently have open.
- Manage workspace-level billing, invoices, subscriptions, payment methods and team.
- Manage your personal account information, password, and preferences.
Opening Settings
- Click Settings in the sidebar menu while a site is open, or open the user menu and choose Your account or Settings.
- Settings loads with a default section; use the menu inside the page to switch sections.
Project-level sections (require an open site)
Workspace-level sections (team)
Account-level sections (you, personally)
Step by step: changing a setting
- Open Settings.
- Pick the section you need from the in-page navigation (project, workspace, or account).
- Wait for the section to load its current data.
- Make your change.
- Click Save to apply it; billing actions instead open the Stripe portal in a new tab.
Tips
- If you can't find a setting, check whether it lives at project level (you need a site open) versus workspace or account level.
- Billing-related actions open a secure external page (the Stripe customer portal); you may need to allow pop-ups.
- Settings for one site do not affect other sites in the same workspace, except for workspace-level sections like Team and Billing.
