Performance
Monitor your site's Core Web Vitals and manage CDN, DNS, SSL and prerendering from one dashboard.
What is Performance
Performance is the area of Tuurbo AI dedicated to your site's speed, infrastructure and traffic control. From here you monitor how fast your site is for real visitors, keep your content delivery network (CDN) and cache in shape, decide how search engines and AI crawlers access your pages, and protect your site with firewall rules.
The area is organized into dedicated sections, each with its own page in this documentation:
| Section | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Tuurbo Test | Preview optimizations in your browser before publication and compare original and optimized pages. |
| Automations | Automatic optimization actions that Tuurbo AI runs on your site, such as cache refresh and performance improvements. |
| Caching | Manage the CDN cache: see what is cached, clear it when you publish changes, and control cache behavior. |
| Core Web Vitals | Real-world speed metrics from your visitors (loading, interactivity, visual stability), with scores and trends. |
| AI Crawl Control | Overview, metrics and security controls for how AI crawlers and bots access your site. |
| Firewall | Protect your site by blocking unwanted traffic, with rules and an Under Attack mode for emergencies. |
| DNS | The domain records that route your traffic through the Tuurbo network. |
What you can do
- Monitor your site's speed with Core Web Vitals based on real visitor data.
- Manage and clear the CDN cache when you publish changes.
- Enable automatic performance optimizations from Automations.
- See which AI crawlers visit your site and control their access.
- Protect the site with firewall rules and Under Attack mode.
- Check and manage the DNS records that connect your domain to Tuurbo AI.
Opening Performance
- Click Performance in the side menu.
- Use the sections or tabs at the top to move between Automations, Caching, Core Web Vitals, AI Crawl Control, Firewall and DNS. Use Tuurbo Test when you need to preview or compare optimizations in Chrome.
- If your domain is not yet connected to the Tuurbo performance layer, the page guides you through the setup flow first.
If your site is not set up yet
Performance features require your domain to be connected to the Tuurbo network (CDN, DNS and SSL certificate). If this has not been done yet, you will see the guided setup instead of the full metrics. See Performance setup: CDN, DNS & SSL for the complete walkthrough.
Tips
- Check Core Web Vitals periodically: they are based on real visitor data and change as your traffic and content change.
- After publishing design or content changes, clear the cache from Caching so visitors see the new version right away.
- Use AI Crawl Control to understand which AI bots read your site before deciding to block any of them.
- Keep Under Attack mode off in normal conditions: enable it only during a real attack, because it adds checks for all visitors.
Limits and things to know
- Core Web Vitals metrics need enough visitor traffic; new or very low-traffic sites may show incomplete data until more visits are recorded.
- Some cache actions are limited (for example, full cache clears are limited to a few per day).
- Performance features require the relevant plan; if a feature is not available on your plan, you will see an upgrade prompt instead.
Common problems
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| No metrics are showing | Your site may not have enough traffic data yet, or performance setup may not be complete. |
| Changes are not visible on the site | Clear the cache from the Caching section. |
| SSL shows as not active | The certificate may still be issuing; check back after DNS propagation has finished. |
| Scores look worse than expected | Recent site or content changes can temporarily affect scores; monitor over the following days. |
